We are very fortunate that Zoe ( The Woolist ) is going to come and talk to us on Wednesday 18th September, 7.30pm, in the Clwyd Room at the Theatr Clwyd.
An opportunity to learn about Zoe’s research in the 72 purebreed British sheep breeds and their different wool qualities. An overview of the research process and journey will be followed by an introduction to the practical and digital toolkit that enables designers to navigate their breed selection process, looking at desirable characteristics such as handle, colour, and fineness (micron count), through to the cultural geographical heritage of sheep breeds. There will be time to look at samples of all the 72 British purebreds in yarn and knitted swatch form and more.
Tickets available from Yarn O’clock and Theatr Clwyd
There is also a limited number of spaces on a taster session :
A fact-filled session with samples and 5 different breeds to swatch with, a hands on experience.
£5 available from Yarn O’clock
