Yarn O'Clock

There's always time for yarn…

Town End Yarns

Town End Yarns produce luxurious knitting wools in beautiful colours and from natural fibres.  Although now retired from breeding alpacas in the Lake District, they still use their knowledge of alpaca fibre to make a variety of alpaca blend yarns.  They love fleece and are fascinated by the different characteristics of British sheep – I select the finest, softest fibres for their yarns.

‘Morecambe’ is a British Blue Faced Leicester & Alpaca DK wool.  The Blue Faced Leicester wool comes from farms in the Yorkshire Dales and has been carefully graded on the farm.  This wool has been blended with British grown alpaca and spun in Yorkshire to produce a soft, springy double knitting yarn.
