The shop is now closed, this last month has been an emotional rollercoaster but time was right for me to close the business and enjoy retirement. A big thank you to all who came to visit, spend, learn, chat, drink coffee and sit for awhile. I will miss it and all that it entailed. Take care and enjoy life, whatever you do. 🥰🥰🥰

Ten years

This is how it started ten years ago! And wow what a rollercoaster it has been, with many laughs and a few tears, a pandemic and lockdowns followed by yarn festivals and scorching summers. We have had it all. So I’ll be raising a glass later to celebrate ten years of business and to my retirement 🥳
As there is just over two weeks to go, there is now 20% off everything. So see you soon 🥰

Ten Years and then…

This little, independent, yarn shop will have been open for ten years in March, and like all good things it must come to an end.

We have had fun making friends, learning new skills, discovering new yarns, designsand passions, laughing and generally having fun.

I will always be grateful to those who have supported me over these years, not just those who allowed me to assist them indulge their passion/hobby/obsession but also those who have been there to offer advice, a listening ear and sounding board.

I have had an amazing ten years but the time to move on has come, so the shop will be closing its door early April. So if there is something you need/desire, be quick….. 🧶😂

4th Birthday!

4th birthday

So 4 years ago yesterday, I opened this little yarn shop in Mold!  I know 4 years and it wouldn’t have been possible without all the support of you out there, near and far.  The support from customers, local businesses, suppliers, friends and the rest of you, has been amazing and I want to thank you all (whilst throwing my arms in the air).  So ‘Thank You’ and here’s hoping the next 4 years (&more) are as fun.

With regards to the current situation, I will keep the shop open as long as it is sensible too, although the opening hours may reduce.  Keep an eye on the website and other social media outlets for current open hours.  If you want a delivery – local to Mold only or a kerbside pick up or a postal delivery, these are also possible.  Just let me know what you need/want.

Please support the local businesses and communities around you, if you can.

Stay safe and well, and see you after the dust has settled.

June Happenings

So again an other month has whizzed by and with the fantastic weather we have been having, knitting and crocheting has not been on the agenda for many.  However we have been open and enjoying the steady stream of folk who are looking for that unusual or local yarn.

So what did we get up to in June, we had these fantastic works of art from Ruth Makes Jewellery Brilliant row counters that double as a funky, jangly bangle.

This Simplicity Cardigan was knitted from the top down so can be made as long as you like and have sleeves to the length you would like, it can be knitted in the Rowan Denim lace ( so cool and airy) or any other lace weight yarn you’d like.

The workshops in June were good and coincided with Sewing workshops next door at Amanda’s Fabric, so Earl Road was the place to be!
